Second project meeting held
The second meeting of the project team was held as scheduled, in the 14th month of the project duration. The meeting was held in a hybrid manner, with some participants online and others in vivo, at December 18th 2020.
The project leader, prof. Miljenko Jurković has opened the meeting with a presentation of the project results in its first year. The main item on the meeting’s agenda was to discuss the project activities in the light of the COVID-19 pandemic. The project team has concluded that, as the mobility of research assistants and participation in international scientific conferences has been significantly hindered to maximize the individual field research instead, in order to enhance the scientific production of the project. The employment of PostDoc has been postponed for one quarter.
With project’s goal in mind, it has been decided that the upcoming 28th symposium of International Research Centre for Late Antiquity and Middle Ages should be directly connected to the main objective of the project – medieval renaissances and humanisms.
Following the alterations in work plan of the project, project team has agreed to alter the financial plan accordingly, relocating some of the funds intended to finance participation in international scientific conferences to field research and new equipment (two work stations).
The project co-leader has agreed to start the arrangements of the mobility to UCLA of research assistants, PostDoc and project collaborators as soon as possible, given the epidemiological situation.
