Public lecture “Crikva va črnikama”/”Church in the Holly Oaks”
After a very successful experience and excellent response from the last year public lecture held in the city of Rab, and as a part of the dissemination process of the GLOHUM project, the project members and collaborators organized a public lecture in the Rab Winter Cinema, on September 27th, 2021. The lecture was held by Prof Miljenko Jurković, the project leader from the University of Zagreb, and project collaborators: Prof Neven Budak, also from the University of Zagreb, assistant professor Goran Bilogrivić from the University of Rijeka and research assistant Ivor Kranjec from the University of Zagreb.
During the lecture the long history of both the rural landscape and urban city of Rab were presented, along with the current research and results from the archaeological site above the Gožinka bay in Kalifront. Of a particular interest for the general public and their participation in the research and above all the presentation and understanding of their cultural heritage was the distribution of the online questionnaires, created by the participants of another European project – HILAR – whose workshop was also held on the island of Rab in September 2021.
