Kick-off meeting

The kick-off meeting, first of the meetings of the GLOHUM project participants, took place at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb, Croatia December 19th, 2019.

After the initial introduction of project participants, the main idea, the goals and the expected outcomes were discussed, as well as the intellectual output of the GLOHUM project – scientific publications, symposiums and international workshops planned for the following years of the project. The work plan and the financial plan were also discussed, primarily the first of the main events – the scientific symposium in Croatia scheduled for May 2020.
The main question concerning the scientific approach was the initial definition of “humanism” and its time span since the participants come from different scientific backgrounds and disciplines. Finally, it was agreed to dedicate a round table to the topic, the one which will take part in the following year, together with the symposium.
